boutique showcase

the harvest boutique turned out more fun than i had imagined it ever could be. i had little expectations.. i really had no idea what would come of this festivity. let me tell you, after all our hard work, i was pleased as punch. i was so thrilled to meet fellow blogger babes, greet old friends, and see so many familiar faces. it was more of a huge party than anything else. thank you to all of you who came and supported us in this little venture. the girls and i were happy (and excitedly overwhelmed) with the wonderful turn out (despite the stormy weather).

while we were setting up, everyone wanted to browse through each other's goods.. so many handmade lovelies in one house! i took a few quick photos before the items were picked up and purchased. i attempted to place 'dibs' on my favorites throughout the house!

pretty patchwork quilts and table runners by abby

{abby is the woman of the hour! a most gracious hostess, opening up her home and welcoming everyone. she was cleaning, setting up, fixing refreshments and ringing up customers. amazingly enough, she is almost 9 months pregnant and so energetic (and cheerful)! a big congratulations to her! believe it or not, abby is in the hospital having her baby boy this very minute, not even 24 hours after the big event! unbelievable timing! you got your wish.. he must've heard over our cafe rio salads how badly you wanted to meet the little guy!}

yes, we all ordered one in our own size too!

all the vendors have been encouraged to open online etsy shops of their own. they are each bursting with talent, charm and unique ideas. i'll keep you posted on their websites and more upcoming boutiques. we have caught the fire. once i recover, i'll post a few things in the shop for the holiday season trunk show. hip hooray. and a thousand thank yous for being such a supportive blogging community. i couldn't do it without my cheer squad.

  11. That stuff is all so perfect for the little presents you give to friends for the holidays...I'm sad I didn't know of you when we lived in S.Jordan (last year). Maybe I'll have to browse some websites. Keep up the displays!

  12. I was there and loved it! I wish my husband (who I dragged along--you probably noticed him as the only guy there) wasn't so anxious to get out of there. But I'm definitely in favor of the ladies getting etsy shops up! I want more!

  18. It was so fun. I didn't really know what I was going to, I thought I was headed to the expo center or something, I didn't realize it was at a house and that I'd visited some of your blogs until I got there. I thought it was so cute and cozy. I wish I'd had more cash on me! I met Kelly--she was so adorable and sweet. I would have totally come and said hi to you if I realized you were there. It would have been fun to meet.

    Anyway, I love my journals that I got from you! Thanks!

  25. You crafy cousins left me speechless..So much talent, so much hard work and creativity just pouring out of each one of you. I had so much fun, just sitting there taking it all in, seeing old friends, and being very proud to be the aunt and mom of you power women.

  28. Marta,
    I found your site when a friend emailed me about the boutique. How funny that we knew each other long ago in the Wasatch 2nd and a friend from California emailed me about your boutique! Everything looks so amazing! I will keep checking for another boutique that I can attend!
