crafting + cocoa

a bird's eye of my mini diaries on my mini art desk.

two tried + true tricks. number one: blunt craft needles are the best. their eyes are extra wide for ribbons and twine. plus no sharp edges, therefore thimbles are optional. number two: after a far + wide search for a lovely paper weight, i've found that my utilitarian scotch tape dispenser works perfectly for holding down the pages while i tie square knots. here's to solving problems by happy accidents.

nellie in new york may be the most put together bride i've ever known. she is already wrapping up most exquisite wedding plans for her summer wedding. i was pleased as punch when she asked me to create a few custom mini diaries to match each of her bridesmaid's personalities. it has been such a dream to help her with the details of her special upcoming event. {your order is coming soon. and i do hope your bridesmaids blush at all of your thoughtfulness!}

after some serious crafting, d + i sat down with some good reads. i was happy to pull out my christmas inspiration binder and flip through (and add to) it. this month's Real Simple has some stellar ideas, as usual. we sipped his + hers cocoa to celebrate the first sign of snow.

  7. What a perfect gift for bridesmaids. And I love the idea of a holiday inspiration book. I have several inspiration books I have put together over the years, but haven't ever thought about a holiday one. Thank you Marta!
