i saw these at target a couple months ago, was immediately elated, but i came home and did a little research because something seemed off about the packaging. apparently, b&b doesn't authorize those products to be sold there, according to this and this. b&b used to have a statement on their website about it, but i can't find it again. maybe something has changed... but bummer, right? and it seems like targets prices may be higher than the authorized salons.
so the convenience factor is nice, but quality and price may be questionable.
(i love your blog btw. sorry to delurk w/bad news...)
I've seen designer products at stores like this and I've always heard from beauty-savvy friends that unless it's at a salon it's not ok'd by the company. Just thought I'd throw that out there.
I want to cry, because we don't have Target in Canada yet. I wish we'd get it and I wouldn't have to spend $35 for a bottle of Creme de Cacao shampoo at my salon anymore :(
I also saw it at Costco here in Cali. Pretty crazy! I still buy from Stuart Fraser though... thanks to the 1/2 off discount from my sis in law! Lucky me!
I love target for exactly this reason- designer duds, great beauty products brought to the masses. Thanks for the heads up!

ReplyDeleteI KNOW! When I saw that I let out a little yelp of joy... there is NO WHERE else in Pittsburgh to get it. Go figure it would be at Target!
