I signed up for mail-in ballots and had mine submitted last week. I was pleasantly surprised to hear that 68% of our county voted early! Two years ago, the machines failed, so I had to wait in line for 5 hours to vote. After the 3rd hour, there was no way I was leaving!
I was at the polls when they opened at 6am here in Chicago -- waited in line for 45 minutes. Excited to vote. Excited to have the choice to vote to day!
I rocked the vote early! And today (the 4th) is my 30th birthday! There is much to celebrate! yay for turning a year older and wiser and for the freedom and the right to vote! Happy day!
We're (DH and I) going after he gets off of work so we can swap the kids! :) Got the little guy's Vote for Duck packet all ready to keep him quiet...er...I mean interested in the elections! :)

Not only did I rock the vote, I rocked it HARD! I sent in my early ballot weeks ago and have been sporting my candidate's T-shirt all day. I haven't felt a buzz in the air like this in all my years as a voter (well, I'm only 32) but I'm excited today, scared today, and ever-so-hopeful!
Voter here! Dressed in my red, white and blue and at the polling place in time to hear the rather inspiring (to me at least) oath of the poll workers to help us all carry out our civic duty.
I did my part and voted today, although I wish I could vote to dispel the electoral college. What a crock! Oh, and I received my three adorable diaries this weekend and I'm smitten! Thanks, Marta!
I actually voted Thursday...we have great early voting here in NC. I was able take the kids with me (they need to SEE it)and the wait was only 20 minutes!
Thanks for making the election more fun--I've drooled over your mini diaries for a long time--though if I AM the lucky winner, I promise not to drool on it.

Done and done -- two weeks ago! The Oregon mail-in ballots are the best. You can take your time, think about everything carefully and no standing in line.
I voted!! (waited and hour with a two year old in hot hot polling place) I miss the punch ballots!!!! It may cancel out your vote I am guessing but what the heck I love your sweet mini diaries! You are an inspiration!!
Last time I voted it was with three kids under 4. I finally ordered an early ballot, but then never mailed it. I had my husband drop it off today when he voted. It still counts!

last minute campaigned last night for fhe. dressed the kids in "vote" shirts and advised them to tell every adult they see to vote (and to vote for lin alder for county commissioner). voted, yea for no line. love democracy!
YES I rocked the vote... and it was not easy... racing in and out of the rain to be told I needed a utility bill because the address on my license was different? what? Back home and back to the polls again! Did I mention it was pouring? Vote... check.
Yes I voted. Took my 4 year old daughter with me so she could see me vote for "Mobama". I don't think she was that impressed with the actual 30 seconds it took me to vote after all the build up.
Loved voting today. Love the neighbors and friends who volunteer at the polls. Love this country. Love our freedom to choose. Love that after tonight all the high-faluting political mumbo-jumbo can be put to rest. Would love a mini diary!
I have always been so apathetic about politics, but today, for the first time, I was excited about voting. So thrilling to see the presidential nominees' names come up on my touch screen this morning. Hooray!
I voted (and picked up a marriage license) last week. We went back to the court house today (election day) to turn in our marriage license and so we could feel a part of the "action" at the live polls even though our votes had already been cast!
Everyone I know voted early and had to wait..I walked right in this morning and gratefully didn't have to wait a second..thanks to all the early voters! grateful to be able to vote!
I live in a small town - so I was voter #122! It's my second Presidential Election and I am SO excited! Winning a diary would be the icing on the cake! Having my selection win - the sprinkles!
I turned in my ballot a few weeks ago, but I did get out there to campaign today - hopefully the efforts of my fellow CO dwellers will turn this state blue!!
