giveaway: fat quarters

i love pretty patterns. if i could, i would have a big walk-in closet stacked full of folded up fat quarters sitting there nice and tidy, sweet and special, color coordinated and happy to be alive, just waiting for their big debut. my closet of material would stay picture perfect and untouched since i don't sew; but i'd still sit and feel inspired by all the ironed, organized loveliness. whenever i'd feel like toys and diapers were about to take over my life; i'd shimmy my way into my fabulous fabric closet and breathe in and out and regain my chi.

pickled pear lane is an online fabric shop brimming with pretty patterns and summery colors for stitching. if only i could sew! marianne's shop inspires me to whip up little girl dresses, tablecloths, aprons, baby quilts and totes too. oh how lovely and girlie my home would be if only two boys didn't live here.

today's giveaway is a bundle of 9 fat quarters from Erin McMorris' latest line, Wildwood in fuchsia and lime. plus, a mix of 10 pearlized heart & leaf straight pins. simply leave a comment to enter to win. tell me what your dream closet consists of. (if you do not have a blog or your blog is private, please include your email in your comment.) comments are open until saturday / june 6 / midnight / mountain time. a random winner will be announced next week.

merci, marianne!

Oh how dreamy! I'd adore some fabric like this, perhaps to make New Wife Quilt #2.

I dream of haveing a wardobe full of Noa Noa clothes. I'd be able to layer them in to artful, yet chic combos which would have the world wondering. "...just how does she do it?..."

  146. Firstly, I must say how happy the idea of winning this giveaway has made me, and I have been entertaining the thought of winning, and what I might produce from my prize. For that reason alone I had to enter, even though I know my odds are low.

On to my dream closet. My imagination has been running wild with what I would love to have.
I would have mason jars full of assorted buttons and paint brushes. Shelves full of blank canvas of varying shapes and sizes, and every paint color known to man. A collection of vibrant, beautiful fabrics--endless possibilities with those. Baskets full of thread and others with yarn. Blank sketch books and old books that I can paint on, cut from, and recreate. I think I'd like a shelf devoted to the collection of cameras I'd like to have, as well as some photography accessories. It would be an oasis for me, a place I could either escape to or be inspired from--or better yet: both.

  147. my perfect closet would have rows and rows of pretty dresses and shoes: fancy and formal and casual and cool. forget jackets and pants and tees and tops. i'd be content if all i had were shoes and dresses! neat, tidy, color-arranged rows and racks of dresses and shoes. sigh.

    ReplyDelete
  148. my dream closet would be a huge 12x12 one with all of my arts and craft supplies in them with a huge desk, comfy chair and tunes to craft by. At the end of the day I can just close the close the double wide doors...but would most likely open them up again to do more crafty crafting!!!!

  151. D'you know, I don't even have a closet! Just a big drawer under my bed and a third of a pokey cloth wardrobe I share with my flatmates. After a bout of shopping I have no other option but to make room for the new items by giving away some of the older ones. I used to find ways around this, storing things up in a box in the attic, for example, but I find now that it's liberating to have a limit to what I can accumulate. And by giving things away to a charity shop, I know that someone will get to enjoy the items of clothing I'd grown tired of. So my perfect closet right now is the one I don't have!

  182. I just saw a picture of my dream closet in a magazine while at Home Depot on a DATE w/my hubby of 9 years (in July)! "Yes" we had a baby sitter watching our 3 little ones while we were at Home Depot on a DATE! My dream closet consists of paper, ribbon and fabric. In this picture they were very clever with how they had organized everything. Why I didn't buy the magazine I don't know. The containers they used to hold each item were stylish and fun. I loved the overall look it was clean, organized but had so much personality because of their creativity in not using ordinary containers. For example to hold Pens, markers & whole punches they used small tin buckets (colored) sitting on a shelf. Oh, I wish I had the picture in front of me so I could describe it well.
My dream closet would include paper, ribbon and fabric. I love to sew, make cards, scrapbook!
