baby's first yearbook

to commemorate benji's first birthday, i put together a simple yearbook for him. i have high hopes to create one for each of my children someday. i used a simple black sketchbook, photo corners from kolo, silver ink for noting a few memorable moments from each month and monthly photographs with his age typed on them using photoshop. i love when a project takes one nap time to complete.

when dan picked up the photographs for me he told the lady (whom he'd never met before) at the counter, i'm here to pick up an order from one-hour photo. she said, oh yes, they the ones of your son, benjamin? yep. that's right.

  1. What a wonderful way to save the first year of his life in a way that you can always look back on it. When I have children, I hope to do something like this as well. Happy birthday, Benjamin!!

You should keep going, until he's like, "Mom, I'm sixteen. I don't even fit in this little chair anymore!"

  6. i love this idea. though i hate to think of my little guy being a whole year old (too soon! too soon!), having a book commemorating his year in photos would be so cool. i'll have to keep this in mind when we get there.
thanks for sharing all your wonderful creative exploits!

  7. such a great idea! i've seen the "photo a day" montages, and that always seemed so overwhelming to me - this is just the right amount of awesome wrapped up in a great book you can treasure forever!

and i agree that you should definitely keep going!

  10. Cute Marta... really, really cute! I love the simplicity. I made one of these for my son's first birthday. Took more than one nap time to complete, but worth it..., unfortunately my second son did not receive the same! :-)
