  1. What a sweet giveaway - literally! :) Throw my name in the hat. This season, I am in love with all things pumpkin. Pumpkin pie, pumpkin whoopies & cookies & cheesecake & bread...and I just found a pumpkin creme brulee recipe I'm dying to try. Will give me a good excuse to break out the torch I got for my wedding. Haven't touched it yet.

Thanks for the giveaway - & your awesome blog.

What I am baking for the holiday's is: of course, sugar cookies, little ginger-bread men and girls, and this year I want to try and make my own granola for gifts to co-workers and friends. School has made me very poor, so a home-made Christmas it is for me. :)

    How fun! Let's see....

On regular days this holiday season, I hope to make lots of soups, and meals in the slow cooker. We all know why those rock in the fall/winter!

And for Christmas cookies, I hope to make spritz, snickerdoodles, peanut butter star cookies, krumkake, and maybe pbernodder if it ever gets cold enough!

    ReplyDelete
  27. Love this one Marta!

I have been a muffin baker like crazycakes this fall because my little bird love love loves them. Eight months and she is cramming the carbs down.

For Christmas gifties this year, I am going to do biscotti. I did some on a whim last year - pregnant and too tired to drop or roll many cookies - I did some biscotti and it was a hit!

This year, for the holidays, my sister and I are planning on taking over the kitchen and I'm absolutely terrified at what the result is going to look and taste like! It'll be a fun adventure, that's for sure. One filled with tons of laughs, new recipes, a big fat mess on the kitchen counter and memories that will surely last a lifetime. I can't wait.

I am wrestling with the idea of making a ton of sweets and building treat towers for our friends and families as gifts. Said towers would include: truffles, macaroons (because I have been dying to try them), cake dips (maybe apple cake dipped in caramel...), knock-off Cranberry Bliss Bars from Starbucks, almond roca, caramel corn and why not? caramel.

My favorite thing to cook for the holidays (get ready, it's not anything special), but the classic chocolate chip cookie. I love to poke at them while they're baking in the oven.. watching the goo turn into a delicious round helping of delight, haha.

This will be my first Christmas at my first apartment & I am very much looking forward to it.

  80. As usual, my kitchen will be filled with the aroma of baking cookies - lots of cookies of different sizes, shapes, and tastes. Always the old tried and true, and always some first-timers. :-) One year I made 28 different kinds, but this year I don't think I'll be that ambitious. Funny thing about the t-shirt: I have been toying with the idea of including some cupcakes this year, so having that darling shirt would be perfect.
