Rather than carry the back-breakingly large (and not so pretty) bag for my infant's stuff that my husband likes, I have a sleek red shoulder bag that holds our essentials. (It's small enough that I can't attempt to take EVERYTHING, which I'd try to do-- just in case--with a bigger bag.)

ReplyDeleteMy must have accessory is my shackle necklace. The shackle is a small silver one from the boat my dad built when i was a baby. I feel lost if i leave the house without it.
For absolutely every day, my watch. This time of year, though, I'm a pretty devoted scarf wearer, and I particularly love a handwoven one in gold and other harvest colors that my parents-in-law gave me a few years ago.

ReplyDeleteMy everyday accessory is probably the same as everyone else's - my wedding ring. I do, however, wear my CTR ring everyday. It sounds a little childish, but lately I've been finding it helps give me that extra reminder to be a little nicer to that grating person in the office or to go the extra mile for a neighbor who needs it. Can't beat a reminder like that.

ReplyDeleteMy accessory has to be my wedding and engagement rings - they never come off. I took my engagement ring off as I went inside the door of the church on my wedding day and put it back on as soon as I got in my horse and carriage to leave the church after the service!

in the winter, my everyday accessory really is a scarf. I love them and they add a little spice to every outfit, since I don't do much jewelry. But since it is December and all, I think I'd delight in giving this one away! (and then telling my husband to get me one!)

ReplyDeleteMy must-have accessory is my big pashmina scarf looped twice. I live in Chicago and work a building where the landlord refuses to put on the heat! I think that the Olive Queen Annes Lace scarf or the Gray Poppy scarf would look much prettier in meetings than my big black scarf!

My everyday accessory is a silver ring that my dad gave my mom for their first anniversary. It was a make-up present for his original gift...a bright red pressure cooker! My mom passed it on to me soon after I got married. Because of that ring and my wedding band, I get to have my family with me each day.

great giveaway! since i don't really see my wedding set as an accessory, i'm going to go with earrings. a pair of earrings can help pull together an outfit, brighten up your face, and show your personality. grabbing some earring on the way out the door can be a quick fix to looking more polished, or like you actually put thought into how you look. i love a good pair of earrings! :)

My must-have daily accessory in the winter is a fun pair of gloves for outside - either a fun color, pattern, or fabric. It makes going to work in a corporation that much more fun, smirking about my non-conformist gloves the whole long walk across the cold parking lot.

I'm a chunky necklace kind of girl. I always wear one with v-necks. Also scarves in the early fall to late spring, with wispy ones for cool and chunky ones for cold. Also, I never take off my wedding ring.

I always wear this to remind me that no matter what I should be thankful. For everything in my life, and also to remind me that there is always enough time to do what I need to do because God always gives us what we need.
ReplyDeleteafter being unemployed for so long, i have found that accessories are not as important as i once thought they were. although i love fashion and jewelry, my must have will always be my purse/wallet. i can't go anywhere (especially if i plan on driving) without my large purse that contains: my ID/wallet, ipod, cell phone, sharpie pen and journal. if you search deap enough and in the side pockets, you will also find some useful items like chapstick, tissues, etc.

ReplyDeleteLove a pretty scarf! My daily accessory is my sparkling sapphire wedding band. It's the only accessory I absolutely have to have on every day. I adore it.

ReplyDeleteI'd have to say my fave daily accessory is my cross necklace. It has tiny little diamonds and sapphires (my birthstone)to make it slightly sparkly, but not too much for daily wear. And it was a gift from my hubby, so that makes it extra-special to me. :)

ReplyDeleteMy everyday accessory NECESSITY is a scarf. Perfect as a jacket, a head wrap, a shawl, extra warmth, or shade from the sun, protection from the rain... they're perfect for everything in any season. I honestly bring one with me everywhere.
