lets just say, so much has changed in these short twenty months. as if the volume has been notched up–all the way up–to eleven. (i hope you got that one, dan.) life is full. loud with love and so happy with our boy around. everything is more fun. for instance, right now he is practicing the olympic high jump on his crib mattress after being so snug and tucked into bed. he makes me smile like nothing else. he is my little helper. my curious craftsman. i had no idea how much fun laundry can be with a little imagination. one wicker basket can instantly turn into a school bus, an airplane, a train, a spaceship or an automobile. and sometimes a cozy spot for cartoons while mama re-folds all the dishtowels.

how is it possible he's already 20 months? he's so adorable and i think he looks quite a bit like his mama!
ReplyDeletemy benjamin just turned six a few weeks ago and i so do not know how those months (all 72 of them!) slipped away. they do fill you up though in ways unimaginable.
ReplyDeleteoh he is precious. love the sweet smile. And I got the Spinal Tap reference. A classic; one of my all time favorites.
ReplyDeletewhat a precious boy you have. My son will be a year old this tuesday and I can say it makes me want to cry. you love seeing them grow but you want to keep them small forever. Had fun reading your guest post. Happy to find your blog!
ReplyDeleteAll the best,
Anna
what a handsome little man. 20 months is an amazing age.
ReplyDeleteYour basket over-floweth.
ReplyDeleteaaaw he is such a cutie, really gorgeous baby, congrats!!!
ReplyDeleteI know. I still want to say that the twins are just 72 months old...they seem more pint-sized and squeezable that way.
ReplyDeleteBenji is the perfect blend of you and Dan. He has the best of both worlds! Happy 20th, Benj!
you'd think a wicker basket would leak, but that one is just overflowing with cuteness.
ReplyDeleteWhat a sweetheart - these pictures are too cute. My son turns 5 months tomorrow and I can't believe it either - people aren't kidding when they say it goes quickly!
ReplyDeleteMy toddler was 21 months yesterday. And I couldn't stop using the months at 1 year - because you know 15 months really is very different than saying 1 year old, and so on - because they change so, so much every month!
ReplyDeleteSpinal Tap is very quotable!
how am i ever going to be this creative when i have kids!? snapping photos while he's sitting in the laundry basket and being ridiculously cute.. you are so good. i hope i'm quick with the camera like you someday, marta.
ReplyDeletebenji gets cuter by the day, i'm convinced.
and so do your notes on mothering. the 37 1/2 month thing.. loved it.
time goes by so fast with the kiddos! My oldest turns 10 this fall and I can hardly believe it. And my baby turns 1 this month! Seriously...where does the time go? Enjoy every moment with your sweet boy. He is adorable!
