it has been quiet on the blog lately but the house has been anything but. life is in a bustle and the house is currently
in other news / i am serving lemonade (with mint sprigs from my garden!) in this fantastic pitcher. the babe is moving and dancing like crazy; my stomach is no longer mine. it morphs into all sorts of crazy shapes. i met a blog reader at church today! hooray for saying hello! there was a major carnival in our neighborhood (dunk tank and all) on saturday. benji got his face painted, a balloon sword and gobbled up honey buttered scones. meanwhile i got asked if i was carrying twins. umm. why are these cliche pregnant questions still happening among women?! dan rode 100 miles. yay, dad. my first letterpressed design arrived in the mail. can't wait to show you! and last but not least, we started friday night lights. hello. everyone was right, best show ever.
love that you are going to have twinkle lights! you'll have to share a photo with all of us so we can be more jealous! :) i think it's adorable your little man loves to help so much! and that view from inside looks awesome!
ReplyDeleteThe thing about Friday Night Lights is you will be heartsick when you reach the finale. Best series ever next to Gilmore Girls and maybe Felicity.
ReplyDeleteGood luck at your swap!
big Riggins and Coach Taylor fans over here! we are on season 3 and i cried i think through most of the first season. can't wait to hear more bout the swap party! is it like a favorite things?
ReplyDeleteRed vines are my favorite... sorry twizzlers. Morphing bellies are the best.
ReplyDeleteThe view from that window/door is BEAUTIFUL!
ReplyDeleteBeing pregnant is the best thing that ever happened to me. I just love how my stomachs morphs into something totally weird. hahhaha..
ReplyDeleteI'm the blog reader from church! It was so nice to meet you! I apologize if I was a bit awkward, it was my first real life blog encounter and I felt a little silly! It was great to meet you and discover we are neighbors--hope to see you out and about!
ReplyDeleteOh Marta, I am so excited to hear that you've begun watching Friday Night Lights! I thought I might be the only one late to the party! I'm just about finished the second season and I find myself wanting to hug each of the characters by the end of every episode. If we were "real life" friends, I think I'd be inviting myself over to your place to sit under your twinkle lights, drink lemonade, and talk about Riggins' grin and Coach Taylor's eyes. And how fantastic is Tami?
ReplyDeleteI love Tim Riggins. Nate knows, so i's ok...and it's actually because there is something about him that reminds me of Nate. Anyway, always happy to hear when anyone starts watching that show. (Just a head's up - season 2 was during the writer's strike, so don't hope for a nice conclusion to that season. It's the worst season anyway). I also love Coach Taylor and Tami. What a great relationship.Nearly as happy as all that makes me, is the Red Vines! :)
ReplyDeletewhat fun-- all of it! I will look forward to hearing about your swap meet-- sounds so neat! And yay for active babies in the womb-- what a beautiful gift!
ReplyDeleteHi Marta! I just found your blog from the link in your email. So fun!
ReplyDeleteMarta! I am so excited you officially started the best show ever. I can guarantee you will fall in love with Tim Riggins, QB1, Luke, and of course Mrs. Tami Taylor. I promise you will become a better mother, wife, friend, and aunt! You will feel the pains the characters go through, you will laugh and cry with them. Be prepared to take the emotional roller coaster of a high school student. Welcome to the world of Friday Night Lights! I hope you stay for a while...
ReplyDeleteOh, I just love in utero activity, one of my most favourite parts of pregnancy. I've never been to a swap party before, would love to hear how it goes.
ReplyDeleteRonnie xo
Hey, Pink Ronnie- love the name! Josh now confesses to be grossed out by the babies' movement in my belly. Each one has been different and at first he happily felt each kick and movement. After Asher, he proclaimed that it was just too weird. Poor guy! I'll have to try Friday Night Lights too!
ReplyDeletei was constantly being told how huge i was when i was pregnant...people are funny! i'm sure you are not huge :) do you ever ride with dan?
