black beauty

i love my black {utrecht sketch} book. here is another look.

{and here is the translation}

"being a beauty is still a regular goal in my world, though each new day i seem to understand more the mysteries of what it means to be beautiful. there are many ways to become better, improved, and i believe more beautiful. these are some of my ways.. to try and be a good hostess, throw someone you love a gorgeous celebration. to call a friend and laugh at their jokes and listen to their tears. to give a gift for no real reason, but friendship. to smile at a stranger. to try your best.
to be confident being yourself. "

what quality do you think brings out the most beauty?

I think that the highest level of selflessness that one can have while still maintaining the highest level of self-respect possible is the most beautiful thing. Does that make any sense? If a person has that, it shows kindness, conscienciousness, respect for others and self, elegance, class, tact, compassion, it just shows so many things. I hope that makes sense. If not, sorry! :) Beautiful post... beautiful journal!

I love what you wrote. It made me think of what beauty at it's very essense can be. I think a loving nature is the most beautiful quality of all, but it sure helps people to see that if the person is well-groomed as well. :) Very interesting. :)

True beauty, of course, comes from a well-manicured handlebar mustache.

i'm with dan... although my brother russell might add, that long, flowing locks are also a necessity.

seriously though, what a beatiful thought. i think that by striving to be your best self, by taking the time to smell the flowers, enjoy the view, and participate in this journey of life brings out the beauty in each of us. (although a little mascara and rouge never hurt either)
