ready set gogh
thank you for your many heroic ideas. i thought about it and since i have written a pile of papers on him throughout my life, i decided it would be quite simple to draw up a costume of my favorite painter, van gogh. i put this outfit together by simply opening up my art school drawer and pinning together my favorite postcards, tumbling my paints and brushes together, wrapping my favorite bandana around my head and voila!
this cute shirt is one of the old favorites that my mother-in-law created for her daughters. i've never worn it 'for reals' in fear that the ruffles are a tad too puffy, but i still love it and indeed may decide to add it to my 'real life wardrobe repertoire'. what do you think? my fingerless {oliver twist} gloves are a new favorite accent to accessorize with lately {practical and colorful}. they were a gift from an old friend. we had a lovely lunch of greek cuisine and talked for hours about the old days {and the days ahead too}. they are cable knit, made from scratch, by hand. and yes, she'll be opening up an online shop soon. between moving to LA and becoming a famous star.
here's to you, vincent! thanks for a fabulous party, miss mother goose!
