{you sure know how to make a swollen girl feel pretty. thank you for the sweet comments.} since a few requested, here is my line up of favorite reads to prep for a kid. only a couple days after we announced our news, phenomenal books starting landing at our door. which i loved, because a newly pregnant mama has plenty of time to read and read and read. i'd love to hear what's on your bookshelf too.

01. And Baby Makes Three: Gottman
02. The Whole Pregancy Handbook: Evans
03. Pregnancy Week by Week: Riley
04. Having a Baby: Weiss
05. No-Cry Sleep Solution: Pantley
06. Belly Laughs: McCarthy
07. Little Big Book of Pregnancy: Fried
08. Hot Mama: Salmansohn
09. Girlfriends' Guide: Iovine
10. The Art of Expecting: Vienne

Thanks for list, it's always nice to get an expert opinion and seal of approval on things like these. I will be sure to file these away for a couple of years until I need them! : )

wow...you are all studied up! I read What to Expect and Pregnancy Week by Week or something like that--it was loaned by a friend. I should have read more!

i think crib notes is a cute book for new parents. it is described as 'a random reference for the modern parent' and i picked it up at paper source.
congratulations on your pregnancy!

Girlfriend's Guide was my go-to manual. I love the telling-it-like-it-is frankness of Vicky Iovine.
