d to the j

oh my my. wasn't last night completely intense? the bachelorette finale wrapped up in classic style, with a mighty twist. at the beginning of the episode, i wasn't really rooting for either guy. one was slimy perfect and the other too raw around the edges.

i thought she'd choose jason because he's oh so eager and in love and ga ga and let's face it, the family was swooning over him. but as i usually do, i began hoping for the underdog. sure he completely stuttered over his words with the family and seemed so nervous the entire time. but he seemed definitely more genuine and sweet than jason, the smooth operator. but at one point after they played the cheesy most romantic thing ever board game, i thought it was a done deal; jason all the way. and i was breaking inside every time jesse talked about not having his soulmate. that was cute. and that li'l photo book was sweet. he seemed for real. well, as real as this silly reality gets. but i began to be a full on jesse fan. and i totally agreed with the sister-in-law who said that if she married jason, she'd be jumping ahead five years. and can deanna the drama queen handle all that?! and it completely bugged how jason was so confident, so sure. if you've been around the bachelor block a few times, there is a serious connection with this show. every time a girl or guy says they are confident they're gonna get a rose; they are sent home in the limo. i love it. so by this season's end, knowing the formula, i began to hope that the perfect match, mr. jason would go. (don't worry, he's one of those dreamy dudes who girls fall all over; he'll find a cute wife soon.)

go deanna, way to pick the boy who doesn't have a solid future set in stone, who has hair that your father despises and was a complete goof the whole show. way to pick the other bad boy, my guess is that graham is so over this show by now. and what about the jeremy follow up!? oh my goodness. such drama, i loved it. i bet all those perfect guys are shaking their heads, wondering, for reals, she chose jesse?! which i love. way to follow your heart and go with the complete snowboarder sweaty palmed sweetheart.

now back to my real reality. which includes designing, eating pasta for lunch, paying bills and going to the post office and maybe some laundromat fun. no riding horses into the ocean today, darn it.

I have to admit...I have NEVER seen a reality TV show other than American Idol, but everyone is talking about this one. I think I will have to watch it next season.

Love your last paragraph- so true! Also, I loooved that she picked Jesse; I think they are so cute together! Hoping things will work out for them outside of reality tv!

Ever time I see this show I swear I'll never watch it again and then I get hooked. She dissed on Graham on the show last night. Poor Graham! Do you think Jason will be the next Bachelor?

okay, so I've only seen one episode and then the last half of the finale (plus the after show for good measure) and was rooting for jason the whole time. I was so mad when she chose jesse. but you make some good points... and I didn't watch enough of the series to really know what jason was all about. and maybe jesse and deanna really are soul mates. {can you really meet your soul mate on a reality tv show dating game?!} and I'm always for the underdog in love, so go jesse! (but I still feel bad for jason--I think he seems like a sweet guy)

but with all that being said, is jason going to be the next bachelor or what?!

So sad it ended.
She took the hard road and followed her heart. She passed up the white house with the picket fence and her life all mapped out for her.She chose Mr. Excitement with out a plan. I didn't start liking him till the end. He really started to look good the last episode. LOL

I think Jeremy will be the next bachelor. He is nicer on the eyes compared to Jason.

i was so nervous she was going to pass on jesse that i nearly made myself sick.

and please, oh please, will jason OR jeremy not be the next bachelor.

we need some fresh unique blood. like jesse's brother or something.

I didn't care who she picked, just had fun watching with Jim and actually thought I saw a tear come out of his eye (Jim's)..still can't figure out how you can decide who you in one night and what's up with holding hand with both of them while they are both there? It sounds like something Marty would do (ask her) or maybe it was one of her friends...

Ohhhhh... all you free spirits out there who think free wheeling jesse is just too cute??? ICK! But, I guess that is the type A planner in me that just can't stand that he is 26 and has "no idea" what he is going to do with his life. . . Yeah, that puppy love is cute... But do you REALLY think that his free wheeling ways are going to look cute to Type A control freak Deanna in say, oh, 12 months? I don't think so..... :)

So glad she chose Jesse...perfect ending. Any guy that's as ga ga as Jason makes me creeped out :)
But I did think she acted kind of silly on the follow up show...too goofy, but would be nice if another couple made it! Would be classic if it was them since the other couple to actually get married was from another Bachelorette...hmmmm

hi! just found your blog today and i really enjoyed reading your posts. i personally don't care for either jason or jesse, and deanna for that matter but i got hooked because all that drama was too good to pass up!

and oh, just for the record, i thought graham was smokin' hot too. ;)

M-

I usually agree with you and love reading your blog... but I have to disagree with the "I heart Jesse" fan club. I was heart-broken that she didn't pick Jason... and I was getting sick of her always saying "I don't want to be like Brad or I don't want to make you feel like Brad made me feel..." She drug Jason along for the ride and he has a kid and that's just mean.

Oh well... that's why is dso fun to watch the D to the Rama!

Of course we will all end up watching the next season and eat up every minute of the craziness!

luv ya-

So I want you to talk about people I actually know. When you come to my house we can do our toenails and dish about reality. Or is Reality TV the new Reality?
