provoke inspiration
not only is parma lilac an amazingly provocative, streamlined yet gorgeously designed website (true genius to have so much information and such little text) but the images conjure up a feeling of simplicity which i yearn for. dan has wanted to sleep on japanese style tatami mats ever since i've known him and these photos almost make me want to agree and say goodbye to my feather bed. (considering i am currently addicted to smushing a pillow to my every side during dreamland, i suppose the tatamis will have to wait awhile.) still seeing a website so clearly beautiful, i am inspired to open up the blinds, make a blank slate on my wall, buy only organic, wear only loose fitting eileen fisher, cloak my home in cream colored linens, wash my hands in a porcelain basin, drink chamomile tea, throw out anything that requires electricity and retire on wheat & lavender pillows in the evening. and use words like retire on a regular basis.

i love that you mentioned eileen fisher... that's actually what i picture you wearing in this scenario. too funny!
and wear cool minimalist jewelery.
I have to agree. that lifestyle sounds enticing, especially in a consumer world. Luckily, you know the importance of both and can share that understanding with your son! Wishing you happiness:)
Yes, yes, yes, to everything you said.
