custom made yoga book

as i have mentioned before my darling cousin whit gives the most thoughtful gifts. they each have so much meaning and love behind them. we have created books for one another, back and forth for awhile now. this year on my birthday she presented me with a volume so awesome, so unique, i had to share. whitney is a yoga teacher by day, crafter by night, gourmet cook on the weekends and artiste in the inbetween times. she is full of sugar. so sweet and so talented.

i am always chatting with her on the phone, lately asking advice about becoming one with yoga. she is full of the right words when it comes to explaining poses, describing the art of meditation and teaching me what this whole beautiful yoga world is all about. she is generous with her praise and reminders to allow my body to become better in its own time. if only i lived in the same city, i could have her as my daily personal yogi.

as a birthday gift, she created a one of a kind yoga workbook for me. the pages are full of pictures, quotes and yoga advice in her own gorgeous words. it is thick and rich with wisdom to be more yoga-minded. i la la la love it. to me, it is the definition of a perfect personalized gift.

thank you little whit. (am wishing you a happy 1st anniversary.)
and to the rest of you, have a fabulous weekend.

oh WOW, oh wow oh wow!

i've been clipping recipes from magazines for the past few weeks now with the intention of putting them together as a cookbook (partially for me, partially for my sister who needs to learn how to cook for her new baby) and THIS, my dear, is the most awesome idea.

thanks marta! (or should i say whitney?!)

Oh my! I looooove yoga. It's what keeps me sane. What a fun idea, and cute book. You run in talented circles!

(Hey, this is totally off subject, but I have really enjoyed your mom's blog, she's very entertaining and I love her writing style. She is also very beautiful, what is her nationality? I only ask cause she looks Danish? Just curious.) :0)

Oh my gosh, what a beautiful gift! It seems like it's a gift in more than one way. Wow. This must have taken her ages to make. Something like this, with such heart put into it, would bring me to tears if I got is as a gift.
