While you're at Costco. Grab some Hot Cocoa - the Stephen's Toasted Hazelnut is...well, words can't describe how good it is.

oh, costco's got a great pasta sauce 3-pack for $5 as well - at least, ours does. it's the reason we have a costco membership some months!

i love that you're preparing for the holidays already - it doesn't make me feel so weird that i've got tons of lists made already, and a drawer designated for holiday hand-knits!

i, too, have begun the holiday planning process. i made 20 dozen cookies and put them in the freezer for neighbor gifts later. I even made myself a weekly do to list to get ready.

with this baby due around that time, i have no time to mess around. ;)

I definitely think preparing for the holidays helps eliminate a lot of stress, leaving time to enjoy them.

I will definitely be stocking up on giant bags of chocolate chips and hershey kisses.

As for saving the funny pages for wrapping, I thought I was the only one that did that anymore! :)

Can't wait to check back and see your Christmas planning and prepping progress. It's one of the most exciting times of the year. Hopefully, I too will get a head start on the festivities. I haven't read the Nov. RS yet, I get them from my sister when she's done but I am eagerly waiting.

I love the Christmas gifts ideas that you posted last year (the grocery store stocking stuffer is already saved in my wallet-I plan on sending it to one of my long-distance girlfriends.)

October is when I turn into a snowflake. Halloween bulks me up a bit, by Thanksgiving I'm a on a roll, and the middle of December I feel like an avalanche rushing down the hill. Christmas comes so fast! But planning it is the best part. I'm anxious to read all your tips—it's like vicarious planning, which is much less work, and even more fun.

Great ideas...and i LOVE your litle Charlie Brown Tree--my boys would just love that!

I am a huge believer in early holiday prep. I started my Christmas gift spreadsheet (organized by family member with all my gift ideas and last year's gift history) yesterday. Yes, I am incredibly nerdy.
