b&b workshop news

hello monday.
i have so much to tell..

01. first and foremost, i am extremely excited about this little workshop i'm doing right here, beginning next week. i've gathered your questions and requests about topics you'd like to discuss and will start chipping the iceberg with my week full of posts. i'll be giving you my insights on building a small business, starting out and being brave, blogging with the heart and so on. i'll give you my ideas on time management and tips on spring cleaning your workspace. i've asked a bunch of favorites to join me and give their incredible advice as well!

you are all welcome to participate, no secret codes required. if you're a regular reader, you won't miss out. i plan on creating a coordinating workbook featuring all of my notes, blog posts, ideas and more for you to print out, jot in and begin your own blogging & business binder. the workbook pdf download will be available in the mini mart soon after the workshop. posting will be light this week as i'm wrapping up with odds and ends.

02. my parents visited this weekend while dan was away on business. they brought the sunshine to town. what fun we had hanging out together, chatting and watching benj do all his charms and tricks for them. i love that he's old enough now to recognize them and be so delighted when they walk through the door. grandparents are magic.

03. thanks for the fun questions over on formspring. the experiment is going well and i really love the array of questions that pop up.

04. after chatting with my mom (the organization/label queen), developing some ideas for the workshop and reading oprah's march issue i realized i better start spring cleaning for reals. saturday evening i opened my craft closet with the eyes of a drill sergeant. i pulled out everything and started sorting. this was no small feat. around midnight i looked at my front room that held the contents of my craft closet and wondered how in the world i was going to get all the guts back inside and in an orderly fashion. if i didn't have a toddler, i would've fallen asleep right then and there. but i pushed forward putting each item into its place, complete with labels. by two-thirty in the morning, mission completed. it looks so much better! and i unearthed some great treasures and came to the realization i don't need to buy anymore envelopes ever. my craft closet has been completely emptied and refilled. and its organized beauty makes me want to weep. will be giving you the grand reveal next week.

05. will be updating my shop with note cards soon. have a good week.

Oh, I'm so sorry I'm going to miss the daily read. I was so looking forward to this. I'll be in Israel, but I'll be making time for sure when I get back to sit down and read. So glad you are making the notes available too.

i am so in. can't wait to hear your advice+inspiration. thanks for pulling this together!

i should really get on formspring to ask this...but for now, i am curious if you could also share (in your workshop) a little insight into how you round up such great giveaways. do you seek out the etsy crafters? if so, what is your process? or do they come to you?

You are linked from my cousins blog and I'm so glad because my computer crashed and I couldn't find you again...Also SO excited about your workshop! I started a website (www.mediocremom.com) and I would love ideas on how to get more readers. :) Oh, and I was in your old house the other day and it brought back memories of watching Oprah and talking about boys.
