confetti eggs

i found these cute confetti easter eggs last week at the grocery store. little eggs with a party inside; what could be better? since easter is coming faster than i can believe, i put them to work straight away, even before unloading the rest of my groceries. i filled my footed glass trifle bowl with shredded green paper grass and tucked the colorful eggs into place. i set it on top of a spring tablecloth and have been loving their hues each time i arrive home.

So they are normal eggs with confetti inside? Fun!

I can't believe you can buy cascarones in your grocery store! We have to make them ourselves! They are a huge part of Semana Santa and the Easter celebration in Guatemala and a lot of fun (I mean, when else do you get to hit someone in the head with an egg?)!

cuteness. you always find the coolest things, marta! and the trifle centerpiece is a dazzling idea. i need to do mine up just like that. my house doesn't look like easter at all yet-- no pretty pastel anywhere!

the colors are great!
My grandma usually paints them red herself but it's such a time consuming process, I would rather buy them, especially with confettI!

Wow! I have never heard of these eggs! Confetti eggs huh? And they are so vibrant, colorful, and festive too!! I would love nothing more than to find those in my area. What a treasure. I'm envisioning your centerpieces right now!

That's so cool! I love the colours!

p.s. I realized that I hadn't switched your url from the old blogspot address to the new one, so I hadn't been receiving any notifications. Good thing I decided to check what was up after a week of no new posts.
