doctor's orders

benji is on the mend. thank goodness. the doctor told us to sit around and watch cartoons for a couple days. i am taking his orders very seriously. when the annual idaho public television pledge drive comes on and bores us into oblivion, we turn to sesamestreet.org for entertainment. these tunes have us bopping. is there anything better than furry monsters swaying in unison and singing with their mouths wide open?! i think not. posting will be postponed til next week. am putting all my efforts in this cartoon cure-all since there is a weekend roadtrip in the works.

will return with weekend snapshots, a giveaway, a blog hunt and more.

Poor little Benji! Enjoy the cuddle time while it lasts. Cartoons are a cure-all medicine, that's for sure.

Good luck to Dan this weekend! Hope you all travel safely. Have lots of fun.

Even little Sam is mesmerized by baby einstein while Jake tells him exactly what is going. Sam has not felt well the last day or two and the classical music playing sooths both him and Jake. I love them too!

Get better Benji Boy! Sick babies are the worst. Lots of snuggle time is the best.

Find the video for Ernie's Shopping List. It's my favorite and has been since I first saw it as a kid. Feel better Benji!

Mommys and cartoons are the best medication =)
I still watch cartoons or other kids shows when I am sick.
Get better soon little Benji.

Rest up - hope Benji feels back to his old self by the weekend. The one good thing about having a sick child is that it forces you to take some much needed down time, too.

Love sesamestreet.org! Search for Bedoodlededum- my daughter's favourite Elmo song. It is an instant cheerup.

Cheers!

I like that, "on the mend, benj." Hope you also get some great rest and family time after all the work you put into the blog workshop. See you in a week...I can't wait to find out what a blog hunt is.

Hi, I just found your blog today and I wanted to say thanks for creating such a wonderful place to visit!
I hope your little boy is on the mend soon - it sounds like he has a great prescription :-)

This reminds me of some recent iphone apps I just downloaded for my daughter. She is loving Grover's Special Number and there is a Monster Maker one too.

Hope your little boy recovers very soon!

LOVE the perscription! When my 20 yo used to ask how long we had to wait I would tell him,"Just one sesame street. You know how long that is and I know you can sit still that long." worked like a charm! off to go watch some monsters for myself. I amsure it will cure whatever ails you!!

Oooo! You should get the 40 Year Anniversary of Sesame Street double DVD. Hours of fun.

If you happen to have OnDemand, you can find Sesame Street there.

My kiddo's favorites are Elmo and Big Bird.
