a kid-friendly museum is always a special outing with kids. this 2007 exhibit featured robert sabuda's amazing pop-up books. my nieces loved paging through the wizard of oz book and his incredible version of alice in wonderland. there was even a table with supplies and instructions to create your own pop-up book. the perfect way to make reading fun.

my sister, amy and her little girls are having all sorts of adventures with their summer passports this season. amy created three homemade booklets jammed with ideas and daily activities for their summer vacation. included are lists of places to go and people to see which the girls can check off throughout the season. read about it here.
