summertime, here we go.

happy june. hope you've had a glowing summer start. thanks for all the awesome comments, it's so good to have listening ears. even though you are technically reading this, it feels like we're chatting. so i made a coca-cola pot roast for dan's first day and it turned out. first success. i have walked on the treadmill two days in a row. hooray. i've consumed more desserts than days living here. yikes. we dan made homemade ice cream in our old fashioned wooden bucket on memorial day. three cheers. i just realized i don't have a library card here. boo. i just remembered that they have danny's old canvas teepee downstairs. yahoo. life is good. am taking full advantage of the afternoon and am off to take a nap.

horray for sharing the housekeeping/meal prep/kiddo wrangling duties with loving grandparents - momma gets to reinstate naptime! :) enjoy!
ps-i feel the same way about losing things when i am visiting people; at home everything has a place but when you're at a temporary home, EVERYTHING gets lost!

an hour on the treadmill (or elliptical, in my case) can make all the difference in the day. at least that's how it is for me. plus, you can justify those desserts and homemade ice cream then, right?
