feeling particularly painterly again. / think aqua.

my pinspiration board for the new art studio.

at first i thought i'd play it safe with soft grays, but with a little push from the husband and a bit of consulting with my personal gurus–and pinterest of course–i'm so ready to go big for my little creative haven. i've always loved the bright aqua blues that cover the oceans in vintage maps. it's exciting to do something completely out of my box. wish me luck.

p.s. are you feeling painterly? check out alisa burke's darling paintbrush wreath!

So pretty! That particular shade of aqua is pretty much my favorite color. I am smitten with your inspiration board and I can't wait to see how it comes along! Good luck!

I am loving your paint samplings that are popping through my pinterest feed. I've repinned a lot of them. And I kind of feel like I should thank you for all your work. [so thanks]

I am excited to see what you come up with for your art studio. Art studio, wow, is that a dream or what!?

Good luck.

Great choice! Go all out in your creative space. I just used Benjamin Moores Palladian Blue in my dining room, right next to my Revere Pewter living room... It has a touch of grey at night and touch of aqua in the sunlight...

y'know, I was already to say "ix-nay" to aqua wallcolor, but then I saw the rooms you'd pinned on pinterest and now I have to say... I'm totally onboard and loving it! Aqua? absolutely!

Great idea. I've got an all white studio with a vintage map of Europe on the wall (bought it at a local school) and I love it! The colours on it are so vibrant. Here's a link:

I'm looking forward to seeing the result! And good luck!
