a picnic lunch in paradise / downtown in full bloom

we toted a picnic lunch downtown to dan's office on monday (day dates are becoming my fast favorites) and were overjoyed with the tulips in full bloom. tulips are top on my list. there were so many varieties and a gorgeous rainbow of colors too. walking through the gardens with my boys was a little slice of heaven. nothing beats fresh flowers growing in the middle of an urban landscape. it's pretty much the best of both worlds.

Lovely pictures of those pretty tulips, Marta.
Can't believe how big Benji is getting. He's really rocking these shades. So adorable.

Your pictures are amazing Marta! I love each and every one of them. If you love tulips, then we need to meet up for the tulip festival at Thanksgiving Point. I hear it's awesome, but haven't been yet.

p.s. I love Benji's sunglasses and motorcycle. He's one rad dude. :)

The thought that popped into my head when I saw that photo of Benji wearing sunglasses: He is going to be the best big brother!

So I'm sure you don't know who I am, but I've been reading you for a little while now. And the funniest thing happened tonight; my mom came over to help me with my baby and said she just had dinner with a new couple in her ward named Marta and Dan, and I was like "no way!" What a small world! I promise not to stalk around my old ward and neighborhood for a chance to meet you, but if ever I see you around I hope it's okay for me to say hi. :)
