Harvest Boutique 2010
good morning, november! i hope everyone had a fantastic halloween. i love that it lasted all weekend long.
here we go with a giant post devoted to the craft boutique. a big thank you to the many family members and friends who came and supported us. you have no idea how much it meant to me to see your familiar faces there. really, thank you. it was so amazing to have people come in spite of the heavy rain!
onto the details. i feel lucky to be surrounded by creative relatives and friends who love to collaborate in the crafting business. one of whom is kathy who was kind enough to open her home in park city, utah and get the ball rolling to host a second harvest boutique. it's a lot of work, but a lot of fun too. i'm so glad you gals included me!
the morning of the boutique. we loved utilizing every corner (well, almost) of kathy's gorgeous home. before customers arrived, i spent time oohing and ahhing over everyone's darling pieces. whitney and her mom polly created a mini christmas tree of hand-stitched ornaments in embroidery loops (so cute!) with dainty fabric flower clips. such a unique idea.
kathy makes crayon rolls, matchbox car rolls (benji loves his), tag blankets and colorful frilly aprons. my sister-in-law, anna creates upcycled baby leggings, darling tees and wool baby pants (especially wonderful for babes with cloth diapers)! see anna's new website and sign up for her newsletter for more eco-friendly info.
this is whitney (isn't she lovely?!) putting up street signs around the neighborhood. it's kind of our wild tradition to go out together the morning of. unfortunately the rain had its way with them a few hours later. still, i love whit and those trees. next year i'll be making larger, more bulletproof direction signs.
i took a few snapshots the night before while setting up for the big day. courtney's circle scarves and tiffany's nannyhats were a hot spot for customers. i think i tried them all on. so many fun choices!
the girls are loading up after a long afternoon of setting up shop the night before. the quilts by abby are each so beautiful. i always stop and swoon over her quilts and table runners; she has the best taste in fabric! thanks to abby for being our official check out girl.
whit and i set up our things in the dining room. her one-of-a-kind stitchery, handpainted frames and screenprinted tea towels looked festive mingling with my christmas cards, labels and gift tags.
kathy is wonder woman. she not only crafts and sews, but she is also the lady famous for her english toffee. i snagged one of her packs of caramel before they were gone! buttery caramels dipped in dark chocolate with a hint of sea salt. oh my goodness.
it was really exciting to see customers browse the tables. (dan's grandmother, bernice came too!) another talented vendor, mary, a utah photographer, brought an array of pretty nature prints and framed photography from her collection! i loved seeing all the local talent in one place.
crafty cute vendors who were on their feet all day. still, they have smiles on their faces.
blogger and designer kendra and her mom lesa and granddaughter made it a girls' outing. i was super happy to put some familiar names to faces. these ladies are super sweet and bubbly and fun. i'm so glad they included our boutique in their busy girls' day!
adorably pregnant photographer and friend julia wade came too and brought her mom and mother-in-law with her! thank you so much, julia. we hadn't seen each other since high school, so it was quite the happy raucous reunion. we easily picked up right where we left off. i'm so glad you bought that fantastic hat for your christmas day baby.

another blogger friend, this one brand new. her name is gina and she brought her sisters along for a girls day in the mountains. are they not the most stylin' group of gals you've ever seen? how cute are they? i think i talked their ears off. so happy you introduced yourself, gina! i always love when a blogger de-lurks.
it was wonderful to finally meet blogger/photorapher alisha and her darling baby girl (donning her sweet new hat). alisha is so friendly, talented and such a hip cool mama. wish i had more time to chat and hold that babe!
this is quelly. or raquel, more accurately. but she is quelly to me. even dan knows who i mean when i mention quelly. she's a longtime blog friend and is so genuine, thoughtful and kind. i love that my little boy sleeps with a blanket she made!
