sweetie pie

nothing says 'happy holidays' quite like beginning the month of december with a thick, gorgeous magazine or two or three... on my lap.

i especially love the editions that feature simplistic gift ideas straight from the heart. the real danger comes once i start browsing Vogue for gift ideas one might possibly purchase (assuming my pad in the Hamptons is bursting with Holiday guests this year, luckily I added the guest villa next door to the tennis courts...) i become so green with envy, i end up jotting them all down on my own wish list. now that isn't such a cheery way to get into the giving spirit is it!?! that is when martha comes to the rescue, joy to the world.. homemade items make for a meaningful holiday. a cookie can be just a crumble, yet with a bit o' twine /ribbon/raffia and some glorious packaging crates/ tins/ cellophane, you have a dainty little posy of a gift - perfect for leaving on any friendly doorstep. martha stewart & her genius staff have come up with sweet seasonal inspiration {& motivation} to begin brewing a serious cup of Christmas tea.

celebrate the season.

Where's Whit? When's she gonna start a blog already? Pretty sure she'd be in (to girl's night, if not a blog).
