let it snow, let it snow...

snow flurries were a welcome sight today. the constant snowflakes all day made me want to take snapshots. i have a fascination with the way snow sits upon the branches. a romantic, peaceful life. like all the trees are dressed with lace petticoats for the storm. afterwards i even made my mom's infamous chicken noodle soup which surely her mother made for her on days like today. the noodles are never as perfect as hers, though slicing through the dough with a pizza cutter, cutting them flat & thick, and carefully separating them before bathing them in a pot of simmering water brings me domestic bliss. somedays i wish i could be a simple homemaker. not because it would be any easier than the life i know now, but because i know it would be well worth the effort.

{a victory, today i fulfilled three 2007 resolutions: take more snapshots / diary your life / make dinner on a regular basis. now let's see if watching the office and the o.c. made the list..}

Love the pix, Marta! I'm a big fan of the side-of-the-building one. I was dying to get out and do the same thing, but didn't have time. Fingers crossed, it'll be as lovely tomorrow.

Try as I might, I just don't miss that yet. It looks lovely, but I absolutely hate to be cold. Do you miss the warm this year?

the office and the oc did make the list! I am so happy for you!!!

thanks for the fun party with the yummy home made chicken noodle soup. (I must have the recipe) too bad we had to leave before the oc really got going, though it did look pretty intense from what I saw!

I dream of the homemaking days myself. there's just something about baking, sewing, and cleaning that just does your little heart good. maybe some day I can add running after little ones to the list. . .
