easy peasy peach cobbler
PEACHY-KEEN PEACH COBBLER
This “dump it all in” peach cobbler is so simple & delicious.
- 1 cup Flour
- 1 cup Sugar
- pinch of Salt
- 3 tsp. Baking powder
- 3/4 cup Milk
- 1 stick butter, melted
- 1 large can of peaches, drained
- Vanilla
- Ginger
- Cinnamon
- Nutmeg
Mix well until all peaches are coated. In a separate bowl, mix dry ingredients with the milk; pour into deep casserole dish (well greased). Pour melted butter on top of the batter within the dish. Without mixing, dump the peaches right in the middle of the dish. DO NOT STIR!
Bake 40-45 minutes in a 400 degree oven. Let it sit for ten minutes while you let the ice cream soften (dan prefers vanilla with the real specks) and warm up a jar of caramel topping. Enjoy.
note. i received this recipe from our very first next door neighbors six years ago. yes, the same neighbors who gave birth to their baby boy in a tub of warm water in their living room, with only a wall separating us. they have become our legendary friends. no matter how many times i've typed it up for friends, i still use her handwritten recipe on that neon yellow card. now her peach cobbler is a legendary favorite in our home.
