anticipation

has completely taken over.
anticipation is now officially conducting the orchestra i call my life.

so many things to anticipate. so many things to expect. and be super duper excited about. i could honestly burst (and the rate my belly is growing, i think i just might). am not really doing anything about any of them, am practically in denial about some of them, but at least i am actively participating in the act of anticipating. the grand list goes like this.

01. easter. hunts. plastic grass. family. marshmallow peeps. togetherness. excuse to make something delisch. am thinking carrotcupcakes or strawberry spinach salad or cornbread or applesauce muffins. seriously, i want pioneer woman to move in with me.

02. the babe. oh my. i have turned into one of those people who can't stop thinking/talking about the child within. and (after much deliberation) we are going to find out what he/she is. and good thing we've come to an agreement, because the ultrasound is el-soon-o. meaning, in only three days time. ooh. i can't wait. i wonder. have wondered since day one. cannot wait to see if my intuition is true. baby love is filling me up from the inside out. i never thought i would be like this. all ga ga and cutesy and overboard happy. but i am. and am devouring the preggo books, the mama yoga dvds, the advice columns and the weekly emails (this week it's the size of a turnip). am super happy to be in this state of being.

03. new endeavors. in the back of my mind i know i should be packing or finding a new place to live or clipping coupons, but i find myself updating my website for a fresh new launch. i am organizing all my designs to make a simple portfolio. am excited about it. procrastination in one area sometimes brings out the most creative side in another.

05. moving. sometimes i just have to say it in a blog post to remind myself. it's happening. it's really happening. {i honestly used to shake my head at the pregnant ladies who were moving. why? i would tell dan, why would someone move when they are pregnant? that sounds like a nightmare.. we're never doing an idiotic thing like that. umm. hmmm. never say never. i'd imagine me in my perfectly perfect house with the perfectly perfect nursery all ready at two months along. nope not me. not reality. i'm going to be that crazy pregnant lady moving and unpacking my spices and finding a step stool to teeter my li'l bodacious bod up to the cabinets to place my carefully wrapped dishes into neat stacks. life sometimes gives you lemons. and you find yourself moving and pregnant. simultaneously. and you just have to deal. and learn to be flexible and pencil real life into your imaginary perfect life planner and promise yourself never to shake your head at others ever again.}

06. bride books. have loved putting together some custom bride books for a few spring brides and am gearing up to bind a bouquet of summer bride books for a bunch of seriously sweet and lovely ladies.

07. new york city with the sistas. i'll be there in only one week. yes, the same thrilling week we find out about the babe, i fly off to nyc. basically it's called i'm on cloud nine week.

08. renting movies and vegging and staying up late and then sleeping in. ever since tuesday morning i have woken up and thought it was saturday every darn day. that is the worst feeling ever. therefore i am in high anticipation for waking up tomorrow morning for the actuality of a saturday.

09. snowshoeing with dan. since it doesn't feel like spring yet, we've planned an outdoor outing. saturday adventures which include dan and a thermos of cocoa equals pure fun.

nine happy things and counting.
hope you have a fabulous easter weekend.

Better to move while pregnant than move with a crawling infant. Now THAT is a nightmare I've lived. Oh, the ultrasound is a completely blissful fascinating experience. Truly. Congrats!

Please please please sleep in as often as you can! I am glad you are finding out what the babe is. I think it is more "real" that way. Oh, and mother's intuition was down the drain for me. I was wrong on my first one....

You are just too cute. It is SO, SO fun finding out what is in there, it's like a huge mystery solved! I'm guessing it's a girl, and lucky you going to NYC! I haven't been back since I went with Stu and Wendy. Good times... good times.

Your blog is delightful! I have to encourage you in this time: We moved to a different city on March 1. I was due March 18. I had Ella E. on March 7. And guess what?

I was all unpacked and settled in.

Thank you, nesting. :)

Bless you and your new family! :)
