sunday scenes of swan valley

yesterday we went for a drive to swan valley,
one of the prettiest places i've ever seen.
the leaves are changing,
the river is streaming bright blue,
the sunshine grazes the corn fields,
and it is the home of square scooped ice cream.

it was another perfect family roadtrip.
our li'l boy blue slept through the whole thing.

I do love those fields with hay rolls in Idaho. I took a very similar photo last month!

It really is beautiful there. There is something so peaceful about those fields.

p.s. I love the way you have added text to your photos -- the fonts and the formatting are both perfect. You should consider posting one of these on takeoutphoto.blogspot.com. His September challenge is photos + text. Lovely.

Yes, the leaves are a'changing here too ... and autumn is fast upon us.

I've been meaning to ask .... but how do you add text to your photos? Is it Photoshop (which I do not have) or something else? Thanks .....

I'm so glad you love Swan Valley. I remember the first time I drove through it, I was speechless. Then I realized that my husband had been going there on fly-fishing trips with his buddies for years and had never clued me in! It's idyllic indeed.

Oh Marta! This is where my Grandpa had a home all our growing up and now we have land in Swan Valley, too. Next to my brother. It is heaven on earth. And so are the square ice cream cones.
