weekend recap

over the past two weeks life has become completely different. in a completely good way. (my thoughts on motherhood will appear in a future post. for now i'll just say i love it more than i thought i would.) since benji came home from the NICU, we've had more visitors than ever. both sets of grandparents made the trek from salt lake to meet him. our neighbors have kept us well stocked with homecooked meals and goodies. it's been a delightful welcome to the world for benji.

despite the lack of sleep recently, dan reached his goal of riding in the logan to jackson bike race on saturday (benji and i stayed home but gave dan a little cheer every three hours). next to benji's birth, this is the event dan's been most looking forward to all summer. yay dan!

checking out the gear before the race.

dan finishes his 125 mile leg of the race.

dan and his friends at the finish. go cutters!

p.s. a birthday shout out to mom and pete. hope they were happy.

How cool are those star medals?

And how cool are you for sending him off to his race and parenting alone so soon?
