at my house it's treat or treat

halloween never tasted so good. blogland is frighteningly sprinkled with irresistible goodies at every turn. dreamy creamy frosting is haunting me! it's scary how easily i throw out all my good intentions when a well dressed cupcake shows up in my hand.

this happens every year, i am slow on the uptake and then suddenly am all into the spirit of things. for example, i just threw together a fall wreath for my door, scattered pumpkins on my shelves and am hoping to find a good bakery to make breadbowls for our halloween supper. i should simply plan ahead, but for some reason i never do. i always decide i love halloween a li'l too late. yet i am determined to make those cute ghosty nutter butters in time for halloween. you know, to spook the neighbors and to assist me in filling out my pumpkin costume.

your ambition is inspiring! you've already seen about all the halloweening I do at my house. So sad! Though there will be jack-o-lanterns adorning my front porch. And the pumpkins on my piano will be painted gold and festooned with chocolate brown ribbons to carry me through to Thanksgiving. Thanks for the linky to the oreos!
