weekend wrap up
it was so fun to gather with family and friends this gorgeous weekend. wow was it beautiful, warm and altogether wonderful. we did a lot of chit chat and catching up. we ate mini sandwiches, gourmet salads, and frosted cookies. we watched children giggle and steal handfuls of gummy bears. we drank minty lemonade on the brick patio with fall leaves wiggling overhead and kids climbing trees all around. my babe was rocked to sleep in many sets of arms.
it was pretty perfect, i must say. living away from family makes me appreciate them all the more. they are a group of my best friends. it meant so much to be together. (even if it means driving home real late and unpacking a trunkful of bags.)

The blessing was beautiful. The setting, the scenery, the prayer, the food...all the little touches (especially Benji's little touch) were perfect.
