happy thanksgiving

i am thankful for a big happy family and my new little family of three. am grateful to be loved and truly in love with two happy healthy boys, big and small. am thankful for nature, our country and the freedom i have. am grateful for all the basic necessities that i often take for granted; food, shelter, clothing, clean water. am thankful for the soldiers fighting to keep the peace. am thankful for new opportunities, for employment, for transportation. am glad for good books and education and kind people and warm laughter and cozy quilts. am happy for the chance to travel and learn from different cultures. am thankful for the similar strings that tie us all together. am thankful for loving, understanding, sympathetic, and cheerful friends near and far. am grateful for the us postal service. am glad for home cooked meals, movie nights, library books, picnics at the park, and smiles exchanged. am thankful for words. am glad for stories people tell and the lessons i learn from hearing them. am glad for compassionate service given. i feel blessed with talents of my own and the ability to appreciate the talents in others. am grateful for two legs to walk, two hands to reach, two lips to speak, two ears to hear and ten fingers to touch (and type). am happy for art and beauty and truth. i am thankful for the overwhelming goodness in the world. am forever thankful to the Creator of it all.

I love this post, Marta.
I'm glad that you had a happy Thanksgiving.

p.s. i tagged you, please see my blog for details...
(maybe you don't do these kinds of things, and if you don't that's okay. this is a new thing to me and I feel slightly intimidated tagging other people, but thought I would give it a try)

You are able to say what I feel. Is that ghost writing? When you summon up everybody's tender thoughts and write them down in a way we recognize them and know we would have said them if we knew how. This is a lovely list of blessings.
