my favourite everyone-asks-for-the-recipe cookie is the "surprise cookie!" a chewy chocolate cookie with a toasted marshmallow on top, smothered in luscious chocolate topping {covering the marshmallow for the gooey surprise when you bite into it}. covered in sprinkles, it looks as darling as this lovely lot of cuteness you're giving away! :)

snowballs {also known as russian tea cakes}~ i grew up with my mum making these every christmas. i'd even sneak them out of the freezer. so good.

frosted sugar cookies. {with real butter cream frosting} a good sugar cookie simply makes me happy.

spitzbuben ~ the little 'sugar-like' cookies in different shapes filled with jam and sprinkled with powdered sugar. my auntie made all different types every year for christmas. she was such a wonderful baker. we miss her and nobody has been able to duplicate her cookies but this year i'm going to have go at some.
