monday mix
a mix of things i'm thinking about.
number one. i better announce the winner of last week's giveaway. looks like we all love pomlove. j, you've won a pom kit, congrats! please email me your shipping information and your favorite pom kit.
number two. this coming thursday will be a grandiose giveaway, only available to those of you living in my hometown of utah. if you're willing to fly there, bus there or hitchhike, you can apply too. it's gonna be good, stay tuned.
number three. i did some reading and flipping of pretty pages this weekend. i have my three top May mag faves for you. Martha Stewart Living: awesome innovative painting ideas and homemade pizza party ideas to drool over. Cookie: cute as ever. this month, a great spread on unique gifts for mother's day. and i love the 'momover' makeover feature too. and five stars goes to InStyle: this month it's packed full of goodness, makeup, clothes and glamour. i loved the interview with jennifer gardner, and the tidbit on drew barrymore's new project.
number four. for those who emailed me with questions about my mini clipboard craft, i have a mini tutorial now in the shop.
number five. i have been soaking up (more like marinading in) all of the inspiration on the internet recently. it's jammed full of flavor these days. i think everyone is on a springtime high. a mellow yellow wedding. a fantastic new blog and letterpress shop. get excited and make things. the cutest play date flyer i've ever seen. invitation inspiration. break out of a rut. and here's the latest letterpress piece i'm digging.
number six. am still reading bird by bird by anne lamott. am on page 135. am loving it. am laughing aloud at every page and practically re-reading the whole text to dan. am especially loving her truthfulness, her excellent writing tips and her humor. it all rings so true. i wish i knew her and could call her up or follow her on twitter. she'd be someone worth twittering for.
now onto my monday.
i think i'll make some muffins.

I am also re-reading Bird by Bird, and underlining and folding down pages for future re-reads. She is a writer's writer.
