from blog to book.

today marks the big release date for two books i hope to get my hands on.

the pioneer woman cooks by ree. read more about it here. she is known for her fantastic food, photography and funniness. this woman is one whirlwind of happiness. don't you just love her?! i know about three (hundred) friends i'd like to give her cookbook to this christmas. if you're lucky enough to live near one of these cities, you may be able to get a signed copy.

rules for my unborn son, a collection of advice by blogger walker lamond. frankly, there is nothing i couldn't like about a yellow bound book. another perfect choice to wrap up this holiday.

unlike some, i love it when blogs turn into books.
am hoping i get to cut and paste my memoirs someday.

no way! these two books were exactly what was on my mind when i woke up this morning. how cool.

after reading about 200 of the 'rules' aloud to grant, he asked why i would want to buy the book when i can just read the blog. i told him that i dream of having a pretty yellow book to sit on my coffee table. and this one is brilliant to boot. and it's under 15 bucks. and it's on my christmas list.

ps. i'm hoping for a little m.writes cut and paste someday too.

Oh OH I am excited about that cookbook. It's on my list to give AND get, just like Ina's was last year.

I too love when blogs turn to books. I am eagerly working on mine as a family gift for Xmas. It's such a great way to document your history. (I just hope my wee ones will appreciate it when they get older.)

Yours will too. And when it does (notice I said when not if) it will be a best seller. That I am certain of.

the blog-to-book evolution is a grand thing. and if I could I would drive to SLC on the 4th for her book signing.
