farmer's market mornings

weekend notes. we are hosting a full house this weekend and the weather is behaving nicely. hot and sunny. everyone is out and about. i love it when people come to visit because i get to stock the fridge, fill up a pretty dish with chocolates, get the good towels out and roam around like a tourist in my own town. last night we had homemade pizzas and then took a walk over to the country corner for movie treats. i am finally over thinking our place is just too small to have parties. the cozier, the better. when there are four girls sharing the bathroom mirror to apply mascara, it feels like girls camp all over again.

benji and i hit the farmer's market this morning, while the guests headed to jackson hole for the afternoon. i filled my idaho tote with some goodies; cherries, giant tomatoes and fresh cut flowers. lunch will be thick slices of salted and peppered tomatoes on buttered toast. the sweet cherries were lucky to have made it home.

it most certainly feels like summer and i am feeling whole again. thank you for all the kindness as of late. so many of you are wondering how i am doing after such a blue blog post. i am in the midst of writing a little essay to share my experience with you. thanks for all the love.

Hot and sunny weather, a house full of friends, a bowl full of chocolates, and being a tourist in your own town? Sounds absolutely marvellous to me!

i drove past it today but only saw crafty type stuff, and i want the good, yummy, fresh produce.

You are your father's daughter. He brought home fresh tomatoes, corn and an Israeli melon, which is THE BEST! (it's between a crenshaw melon and a cantaloupe. You can taste the sun. Have fun!
