happy anni to my best friend, my husband and adventurer, dan. we've been married nine years today. we reminisce about years gone by and it feels like we've built a history together; countless memories to recall. the golden days when we chit chatted over the counter at the bakery where i worked feels like a fairy tale beginning. ever since our first meeting, i felt completely at ease with dan. we just get each other. on our second date he took me snow shoeing and brought a charming thermos of hot chocolate. then and there–in those snowy mountains–i knew i could talk his ear off for a hundred years and listen to his stories forever. i fully intend to.
the best thing about being married for awhile is having the privilege of watching someone grow and change and take on new roles and responsibility and fulfill accomplishments. seeing someone inch closer to their true potential is a wonderful thing. together we've seen some of our dreams develop, uncertainties unravel into realities, and goals shift with new perspective. we've celebrated good times and dealt with disappointments all along the way, it is such a blessing to have a constant to lean upon day in and day out. gaining a deeper friendship and knowledge about each other is what the journey is all about. i love that we're on this road of life together. i know of no better travel companion for the adventures ahead.
happy october fourth.
