be sure to leave a lineup of shoes out tonight. (some even leave carrots in them for the reindeer!) st. nicholas has been known to come and leave goodies inside because tomorrow is st. nicholas day!
it's one of my favorite traditions from my childhood.

I've always wanted to do this! We talked about it when I was younger, but my parents never adopted this. I guess they figured we had stockings. ;)
I'm not sure I want to put treats in my husband's shoes. Or some of mine. *ew, stinky*

Yay! St Nicholas was one of my favs growing up too! My husband thinks I'm crazy for pulling out the wooden shoes but it just isn't the holiday season without them!
It's one of my favorite traditions too! My boys were excited to find matchbox cars and thomas trains in their shoes yesterday morning!
