introspection no. 02

it is often the case that my best work is done by the light of the moon.
my imagination is a night owl. how about yours? when does your creativity spark?

definitely when the kids are all in bed sleeping soundly and the house it completely quiet... these are my most creative hours and when i seem to get the most done!

early in the morning while the house is dark...everyone is still sleeping and i've just woken up. my mind feels so clean and uncluttered. the ideas flow naturally from that space.

Total night owl like you - I wake up mentally around 3 in the afternoon and do my best work after 9pm. Unfortunately, I have a day job that forces me to be awake at 8am. :(

I used to be a complete night owl, now my brain gets tired by 9:30. The imagination wheels start turning when ever I sit down to read something. This makes it hard to ever get anything read... :-) I can't complain, just feel the inspiration.

I think you and I have exchanged emails at 1 or 2 in the morning before. So yes. I am a night owl as well. Trying to change my habits. :)

My creativity percolates all morning and then hits full force - just as I'm leaving the house at 3PM to pick up the kids from school! Frustrating. I can't seem to change it, either. Wake up early, sleep in late, it's always just as my mind turns to leaving I get hit with oodles of goodness. Ugh!

I definitely get inspired at night time...right around midnight is when it really starts to kick in!

My time commuting on the train has really proven fertile with inspiration. I think it's just a good opportunity to let my mind wander.

Ohhh I'm a night owl, too. I've tried to change it. Tried waking up at the wee morning hours, but alas me and the night hours we work well together. Thankfully my husbands a night owl too.

Brilliantly said! That is a succinct synopsis of my life. Creativity sparks when the clock strikes 12 (midnight).

yes, as for me as well. I'd much prefer to work late into the night and early morning and sleep til 10am. I'm more creative and more focused at night.

ain't that the truth!

I am a total night owl as well but since I am working at an actual company it just doesn't work anymore. I try to change into an early bird but it is so hard. Guess there is no way to change a night owl into an early bird... it's like squeezing an big old owl into a small little robins plumage - simply impossible!
So for me it sometimes just means far too little sleep.

my inspiration strikes at all hours. usually when i see something i think of a twist on it.

also - i have to ask - what is that lovely font you've been using? I noticed it (and loved it) the other day when you posted your first introspection. so great!

Definitely right after morning coffee! Also, a lot of creative ideas tend to hit me as I am trying to fall asleep at night... It's hard to sleep sometimes if something good pops into mind!
