That garden is absolutely GORGEOUS. I would LOVE that to be my afternoon retreat! I love how Benj pulled out his lawn mower to help daddy. That's the cutest. I also love how Jer wears the same outfit to help people move every single time. I'm so glad you had so many helpers to unload (although I still think it would have been fun to jump out of the back of the moving van and say "surprise!" once you guys arrived.) Love the snapshots Marta! (Obviously, I can't stop typing).

p.s. there was no return address... I will have to snag that from you as Little Guy is dying to send you guys the picture he drew for you.

What beautiful pictures! We spent our Memorial Day in Genola, Utah, and the first days of June in Lehi and Salt Lake recording a CD and performing in the Tabernacle and Abravanel Hall. I haven't been to Utah since I was in my early 20's (a long time ago) and it was fun to see the land scape. I think my favorite things were the wide open sky and the snow on the mountains. I know you had these things in Idaho too. I hope your transition will be as smooth as possible and that you will find new good friends and new favorite places. And as for blogging, I don't really pay attention to where bloggers are from. It's the content of the blog that draws me in. ;) xoxo

I love seeing those calendars, appointment books and yes, the handwritten notes! I think I might make some cards tonight and send them off in the mail!!! What kind/brand of calendar is the green and black one? So, do you still keep a handwritten calendar? Just curious ...

Ah yes, that row of trees was what I remembered as a kid, right before Idaho Falls. To my little kid self, it meant, "after all that driving, Smitty's is only minutes away."

Love the picture of the boys mowing together...Benji wants to be just like dad. :) He's so cute in his sleepy state too, clutching that lovable bear.

your handwriting is as beautiful as ever, mart!

So i know other people have commented on your handwriting (and maybe you've addressed it in an earlier post?), but when did you start writing like that? Did you create your own font and practice and practice until it was your natural handwriting? I'm just interested cuz it's AWESOME! :)
