have a rad weekend

photo shoot with blue lily; my favorite photographing duo.

// admittedly i've been distracted this summer with the big move and the woes of not having my regular space of blogging blogdom and not having my old life of lots of spare time to sit and think and take pictures of clouds. and i'm feeling a wee bit guilty. as a few of you have mentioned, my blog hasn't been so much writerly as it should be. i know this and already feel bad about it. but then again in blogging there are no shoulds and shouldn'ts. and as we obsessive bloggers sometimes forget, life is for living. so i must just say i promise that the writer in me will come out to play someday again soon. i'm sure she has something deep and thought-provoking to say. i hope. for now, i'm brainstorming up a new project for featuring etsy artisans and crafters alike. it feels good to be figuring out a new way to promote artsy entrepreneurs; it's one of my favorite aspects of being online. i hope you (as readers) like hearing about the great stuff i find and love. i'm looking forward to lining my ducks in a row so i can get going on it. ideas are a-brewing.

have a great weekend. do something out of the ordinary.

Congrats on the big move! Yeah!

I, for one, have loved your blog as of late. Love that it has been all about you and short little snippets of your life. I much prefer that. You know how I feel about blogging! It should never rule your life; nor should your readers dictate your time. I've often been caught saying "blog what you live, don't live to blog." You've got that down and I love that you do.

Keep up the good work of being a wonderful mommy and person in general. xoxo.

One of my favorite things about reading your blog is that you're so honest about what's going on in your life. I much prefer reading about real life :)

Having made a big move myself three years ago, it takes a good year to get your feet underneath you. No guilt allowed!

Have a great weekend. Looking forward to hearing all about your new home when that happens!

Someone critiqued your blog? Good grief! It's YOUR blog, and it's great. YOU decide what you use your blog for, and if someone isn't happy with it, they don't have to read it, right? I love whatever you want to do with it. :D

I love your blog no matter what but I must admit that I am looking forward to reading you more often!!!! I know that something is going on with that house hunt and I can't wait to hear (and see) all about it!

don't ever guilty for what you write or don't write about!! you yourself say you blog to the beat of your own drum and that's exactly what you've been doing!! we're all such loyal followers that we'll read whatever you put out :)... isn't that why blogging is so great?!?

Your blog is one of the ones I pick out to read if I only have a few minutes to check...so no matter if it is a few sentences or a photo, you are always inspiring!

Marta, got your email (via etsy I think) and I'm going to write you back this weekend.

Just wanted to say-- I don't mind that you're not always super writerly here-- I'm just glad you stick around. Sometimes it's nice to visit a friend, even if neither of you have much to say that day.

Meg :)

Dear Marta,

You could post only the alphabet and I would think, "Wow, that is so inspiring." I think your voice is what keeps us all reading and that hasn't changed, faltered or been any less in the past few months. I have enjoyed reading of your latest adventure and second all of the other comments. Three cheers for any and all Marta posts!

Marta, I am totally with everyone here. You shouldn't feel bad at all.
I love what you share on your blog, if it is a short or a long post, if it is daily or weekly,... it is your blog after all and no one should dare to tell you what to do.
Live your life, share what ever you fell like sharing. i love to get a little glimps into your life here and there and to be inspired by the way you are. Keep going like this. It's perfect!

I have to agree with all the other comments here; I love to hear whatever little snippets you love to share and I think the Summer in particular is the ideal time to take a step back and rest up/live life a little more.

Goodness, if you haven't been "writerly" lately, then I sure haven't noticed. I love your blog; it's one of the few that I have to check in with all the time. I agree that your voice comes through beautifully no matter what.
