THANKSGIVING SNACK MIX RECIPE
Bugles brand chips (2 bags is plenty)
• classic knot mini pretzels
• candy corn
• corn nuts
• dried fruit (i like craisins)
• sunflower seeds

gather your supplies and buy equal amounts of the ingredients. i was delighted to find all of them, except for the Bugles, in the bulk foods aisle. yay, bulk foods does it again! combine the snack mix in a giant bowl–adding more and stirring as you go–whistling (and tasting) while you work.

for party favors or hostess gifts, scoop your snack mix into cellophane bags and tie with baker’s twine or ribbon. be sure to add a description label of your snack mix too, every morsel included represents a special thanksgiving memory.

we made something similar for trunk-or-treating, but the symbols weren't quite as pleasant. Think witches warts, cat's claws and skeleton bones, but the response was great nonetheless.

Bugles?! Yummmmms! Did you ever put them on your fingers, like they were witch fingernails?
