a very merry printable christmas poster + giveaway

this giveaway's lucky winners are: alicia fish / ana sontag / miranda walker / becca groves

i wanted to offer you (and yours) a very merry, cheery design for your homes this holiday. i combined my favorite fonts and mingled them with my favorite christmastime lyrics and created this custom printable poster. it is now available in two sizes (and two formats) for immediate download. the cost for my original artwork is only $7.00. the two christmas designs vary slightly; they were created for ease in either print-shop poster printing (a pdf. file) or custom canvas uploads (a png. file).

leave a comment below, tell me your favorite holiday tradition, and you'll be entered to win a free printable download (or a refund if you are in a hurry to purchase and print). you can enter one more comment if you pin or tweet about it too. thanks! winner will be chosen at random and contacted by december 5th.

click here to purchase the 11"x17" printable poster pdf. file / $7.00
this is the perfect download to forward onto your local print shop, like fedex kinkos, for an inexpensive color print. make it wall worthy with a simple poster frame from michael's crafts (take a coupon!) to make a happy holiday statement to hang in your home.

+ click here to purchase the 11"x14"printable png. file / $7.00
this is the best download option if you'd like to create a lasting custom christmas canvas to use year after year. simply upload the png. file to any custom canvas website. psst.. if you order from easy canvas prints, they are having a huge 60% off sale until tomorrow. just a tip: when you start customizing your canvas, click the custom size button and manually enter 14 x 11 so the canvas is portrait format rather than horizontal format.

please respect marta dansie design, llc. copyright and use these downloads only for yourself and gift-giving, no mass producing (we all know plagiarism is the worst and creates major bad karma). thank you for supporting handmade for the holidays!

Our favorite Christmas tradition is reading the true Christmas Story from our Bible first thing Christmas morning- before breakfast, presents, anything. It helps keep all the Christmas hubbub in it's proper perspective. It's our way of keeping Christ in Christmas!

We bake cookies with my nieces and nephew each year around the holidays. There are 6 cousins in all now, so it makes for a very happy/loud extravaganza!!!

My favorite tradition is our Christmas treasure hunt. We end every Christmas with one present, important or inconsequential, hidden inside or out. My dad makes up the clues & the only requirements are that we stay in pajamas & all get together before we open our last presents. As we've gotten older, the clues have gotten more difficult (and occasionally, more cruel in freezing temperatures). :) This year, the clues are for the grandkids, but the fun is more about the hunt than the present itself. I'm excited to pass this tradition along to my kiddos one day.

Awesome giveaway, by the way...

One of my favorite Christmas traditions is driving around to see the Christmas lights...but we get in our jammies first and bring blankets in the car and always bring treats too....popcorn, Christmas goodies, etc, and listen to Christmas music while we drive around. Love it!

Super cute Marta!

One of my favorite Christmas traditions is hiking up the mountain the day after Thanksgiving to find our Christmas tree. This year we had the worst weather, the day before and the day after were beautiful but fri was a blizzard up there. Needless to say I wasn't very picky this year!

We love making a gingerbread train. The excitement starts early as we go wild in the bulk section at the store for decorations and continues through the making, viewing, and eating!

Cute, cute poster!
Everyday has it's favorites but if I had to pick only one... I would say going to the tree farm; taking children, dogs, hot chocolate and cookies. Laughing. Singing.
Thanks Marta.

Oh you KNOW I want in on that adorableness. That will fit in perfectly with my new "modern" Christmas decor.

My favorite holiday tradition is driving around to see Christmas lights—never complete without over the top oohing and aahing.

And I so totally pinned it.

Growing up my family would go caroling every Christmas Eve. Since we're all spread out now it's difficult to make it happen, but I married a singer and definitely plan to continue the tradition with my own family.

So cute! I love to have this hanging in my home this Christmas season. My favorite tradition is opening our pj's Christmas Eve and reading the nativity all snug in our new jammies.

Fun! I especially enjoy the outline script font that you used for "laughing all the way."

Our Christmas tradition is to find tree decorations everywhere we go during the year. I put them away and take them out with the tree in december. It's always fun to remember where we went this year and all the years before. My mom started this tradition and I am continuing with my family.

Ours is a new one. But my husband is usually working Christmas... the hospitals never close. So we have a late night Christmas. Me light candles and there is music. No TV, no phones. Just candles and the Christmas tree. And please let me get a refund... because I have to have this print, so I am ordering it now.

My favorite Christmas tradition is singing Christmas carols as a family along with a very old Mitch Miller record (yes...a real record..they still exist). We use sheet music with purple ink (my grandma calls it "ditto paper"). Fun times!

Cute! I would love to win, but might just buy one anyway if I don't.

Pff... I totally missed the Christmas tradition part of my comment. We've always loved going to see Christmas lights, but now that my 18-month-old LOVES the "pretty pretty!" lights, we will be going to see lots of light displays.

When my extended family gets together for the holidays, we sing a few Christmas carols just before dinner. We use song books that I think my grandparents saved from a church holiday celebration over 30 years ago. Those books have heard some great voices and some not so great voices, but they have always been surrounded by loved.

I am so terrible with traditions. Maybe I will get better when the child gets older but one that I love from growing up is acting out the story of Christ's birth with the family. It was so fun as kids.

Our family writes a hope and prayer for the year ahead on Christmas Eve. Those are collected into a special shoe box, and then the prayers from the year before are brought out and we each read what we wrote 365 days earlier. It's powerful and a really cool way to mark all of the changes in one little year.
