a flawless speech, daniel is such a charmer. my favorite part was the peck of lipstick on his cheek during his speech. (did you notice?!) yay, daniel day. other faves; jennifer lawrence as shocked as the rest of us (!!!), amazing adele, charlize's pixie cut!, anne's perfect poise, and my little boy sitting next to me with popcorn and a capri sun in lap. when is the james bond part!?

what was your favorite part?

I was suprisingly so happy with the Oscars this year. I was worried with Seth McFarlane's monologue, but I really was happy with most of the evening. I loved the cast of Les Mis singing as well as Daniel Day Lewis' speech (such a master!), Jennifer Lawrence (duh!), Adele, Ben Affleck, and Anne's speech (not so much her dress, my friend said she look like she was wearing a 90s prom dress, sans the chiffon shawl).

I thought it was a fun evening, and there were some gorgeous dresses. I thought Jennifer Lawrence looked stunning, and was thrilled that she won. When she tripped, and Hugh Jackman jumped up to help her? Swoon! I loved Daniel Day Lewis' speech (even though I wanted Hugh to win for Les Mis), Ben Affleck's speech, Adele's... I loved how so many of the cast of Les Miserables were there to sing. I adored Les Mis, and since it was the only Oscar nominee I'd seen, I was rooting for it! Must see Silver Linings Playbook now, and a few of the others. Looks like it was a very tight race with so many great movies to choose from!

Daniel Day Lewis' speech was perfection. I adore him. Charlize dancing in the opening number--her dress, the haircut, those beautiful ballet arms--she was great. A friend I've worked with sang in the ensemble behind the Les Miserables movie stars (she played Cosette in the current Les Mis tour), so that was fun for me. Jennifer Hudson blew it out of the water like always. I love her! I loved Reese Witherspoon, Jennifer Garner, and Kerry Washington for wearing beautiful bright colors in a sea of neutral gowns. Always a fun night of viewing!

loved and noticed all the same things you did (also popcorn on my lap) -didn't love anne's dress she wore to the oscars, but the one she wore while singing with the group reminded me of audrey hepburn. she looked beautiful in it!
