color me mine
the circle of life. the circle of love. the circle of forever. the circle of happiness. the circle of my thin plain platinum wedding band. the circle of the o next to the x. the circle my arms make around you. the circle of your large gorgeous iris. the circle of our story. the circle of time. the circle of what goes around comes around.
i love this circle quilt so much i could weep. a circle of gorgeous colors within a solid white square. the intricate colors bring out every artist's dream palette + the classic geometric shapes bring out the designer within. i hope in my heart of hearts that someday i can sew it with my own two hands. and i'll remember the circle of memories. and how i had no idea how to even thread a bobbin at the point in time i blogged about this. {abby if you're listening.. put this on my wish list of never ending fabric projects i email you about and hope you'll make me when i am rich + famous. i'm lucky you still want to be my friend.}
if you are one who indeed can thread a bobbin, begin now; you'll find it in the Purl book labeled under Last Minute Patchwork + Quilted Gifts {if only}.

That quilt is breathtaking. I love it. I would never be able to make that though.. I'm bobbin challenged.
I love quilts. And I can thread a bobbin, but I have a feeling that if I attempted something like this, my circle would be some other odd shape and not a circle at all.
I am SOOO going to make that quilt - I just LOVE it! I just pre-ordered the book on Amazon. I will post a picture of the finished product --
ordered this...cannot wait to get it.
that image takes my breath away.
Beautiful! I love the fabric art and I love reading your blog. It's been a while since I've done some sewing, but this truly inspires me!
This is my first comment...I've been one of the "stalkers", or would "lurker" be more appropriate? ;-)
Have a happy day!
i adore that quilt. one day i will venture past the "baby quilt" and make a beautiful quilt for my bed.
Hi Marta, Thanks for the comment on my blog. I'm wondering how you found it? Anyway, I'm glad you did, because now I know about yours! Wow, what talent(s) you have! I'm excited to look through all your posts, and your design blog.
I've seen this book on other blogs, and it looks incredible. It's on the wish list…
Marta, I'm so happy to come across your blog! It is so beautiful and so well written. Definitely a new "must read"!
okay. the first part of what you wrote needs to be written somewhere permanently. On something very important. Your words are BEAUTIFUL. And so is the quilt.
I love the comments you made about the quilt..I'll have to get Abby busy.
yeah, that doesn't look so 'quick and easy' to me...
this is lovely!
