14 valentine ideas

valentines is a major chick holiday. it's girlie, it's sweet, it's pink & lacy. yet so many of us want to do something special for our main squeeze. so let's brainstorm. here is what i've come up with. fourteen fabulous (cheap) valentine ideas for your main man.

01. scrawl a lipstick message on the mirror. if you can't be cheesy on valentine's day.. then when..

02. prepare a homemade candlelit dinner. make him his favorite entree, even if it's his mom's meat n' cheese casserole baked with ooey gooey goodness at 59,000 calories.

03. mountain dew 12 pack in the fridge with a big red bow.

04. leave little love post-it notes all over his world.

05. write him emails/texts every hour, on the hour.

06. wash his car & fill the tank.

07. create a love mix cd, including his favorite hair metal bands.

08. mail him a love letter and seal it with a kiss.

09. don't make him watch Sleepless in Seattle or Harry Met Sally or any other movie with meg in it. let him choose for a change.

10. don't make him feel bad if he doesn't buy you tulips or mint truffles. thank him for making the bed or whatever else he does right that day.

11. paint your fingernails, shave your legs, and wear heels.

12. surprise him with a road trip somewhere he's always wanted to go, but never gotten around to it. take along a picnic lunch.

13. go get midnight slurpees or whip up some chocolate fondue in the wee hours.

14. start a fire and reminisce about the day you fell madly in love.

Marta! This list is fantastic. Such darling ideas. It actually got me excited for V-Day.

I miss miss miss reading your blog everyday! I have been having some serious withdrawls.

I can't to get my regular internet connection back up and running so I can get my daily M Writes fix.

PS Hooray for the exciting moving news! What an adventure!

thanks for all the great ideas. especially number 10. my h-kun is japanese. and it is a guy's holiday over here. the girls have to wait until march. just trying to melt two cultures into one. and i need to embrace some of the differences more. number 10 is perfect. combined with a couple more.

Thanks for the list... sometimes I can't think of anything. It seems the most simple of things would be the most appreciative: mountain dew 12 pack in the fridge with a big red bow... Thanks!
