five mintues of fame

well looky here, i was interviewed! what an honor. especially when the interviewer is an older (awesome) sister. it's something i've wanted my whole life as the baby sister; to be asked for my opinion. it never worked while i was chewing bubble gum in the dressing room watching them try on prom dress after prom dress; man were those sleeves puffy. yes, i may have been sporting a carebear watch, a my little pony purse and a hairdo that i attempted myself with a borrowed banana clip; but hey a girl is born with opinions and born to give them too.

now that we're grown up, thankfully we are all the best of friends. i love my sisters. we have a lot more in common now with a lot more give and take. and a lot more laughter. seeing my sisters as mothers is a beautifully thing. i have learned a lot from their examples. many of life's important lessons have come from having sisters. gabi used to accidentally burn my forehead with the curling iron and say sorry, min, but beauty is pain. little did i have to worry, because i learned early on that having a sister (or sista-in-law) by your side makes you instantly more beautiful. a sister is the very best friend you can have. check out all my words of wisdom and most clever tips over at the gab blog.

That was so cute! Sister love is the best! I agree with the best date being to a bookstore. I am happiest surrounded by books because then I feel surrounded in possibilities!

that was such a great interview, marta - your interview (and your sister) really captured the essence about you that shines through in your blog and your creations.

i love bookstore dates as well - they really can't be beat.

I remember the days when no one valued your opinion. No one valued mine in those days either. They were all mean teenagers. Isn't it great that everybody grew up?

Thanks, Min! You make anywhere you go a little bit classier. Even my blog.
